Teen pact Boston

Hey everybody!
So, May 11th to 14th I went to Boston MA for Teen pact, a political program for teens.
We started out at Noon. From there, we were divided into the groups we were assigned. I was in the COPS committee, standing for Committee of public safety. Our leader Caleb started out asking us some questions about each other. He was really fun, and so was our committee.
Then, we elected a clerk and chairman. For clerk, Courtney from PA, and chairman Jonathon Kuhjanpaa.
We had a speaker next. Then a quiz.

That was the first day. It got even better after that.

Day 2
We arrived at The Park street church for worship. Then we went out on our prayer walk. We walked through the Boston common for about 30 minutes and then headed back inside. Next we had a debate from Josh, one of the leaders. After that we went out on our first field experience. These are when we go into the capitol with one of the leaders and learn about something that happens in politics. We first learned about Lobbyists with Caleb. We did not have any real ones to interview, so we pretended to interview Courtney and Jonathon.
We went back to the church and had a quiz.
We had a Frisbee/pizza party on the common. It was so fun!!

Well, I have to go to bed now. But, I will have part two out shortly.
Until next time!

Mass hope weekend

Ok, for those of you who do not know what Mass hope is I will explain.
It is a Homeschool convention held in Massachusetts every year. There are speakers, and a big exhibit hall full of booths. That is where we spent most of our time. This year, only Lydia, mum and I went, but last year we took everyone.

Thursday, April 23 we( mum, Lydia and I) drove down to Worcester MA. We had a room at the hotel across the street from the convention building. That night, we got Chinese food and watched Timeline. Lydia and I had already watched it, but mum had not.

The next morning, we got up at 7am. Lydia and I went across the street to the Hospital. It has a food section. There, we got breakfast, and brought back coffee for mum. We spent the morning in the exhibit hall looking for things that looked interesting to us. At noon, we got lunch with some friends from our homeschool group, at the hospital. We spent the rest of the day with a friend from mass, playing large Rush hour. We made it all the way to expert!
That night, we got Unos pizza.

Saturday morning, we got to the Convention after breakfast and again were in the exhibit hall. In the afternoon, we hung out with a girl who is the niece of someone we go to church with. She was really fun, and it turns out that she is coming up this weekend to stay with our friend( her aunt).
Her brothers do airsoft, so we might be doing a match this week!!

We drove home that night, and had to get up early for church. Over-all, it was a great weekend!!

I AM BUSY!!!

So, as you can tell by the subject, I am really busy. I will give you my schedule, and you can see for yourself.
On Thursday, I drove down with my mom and Lydia for the Mass hope convention the next day.
Friday was day 1 of the conference. Saturday, day 2.
Sunday, Church.
Monday, would have been Lighthouse, but mum is in Montreal with Jacob, so we can't go.

That is it for this weeks main events. But this coming month, we have even more.
May 11th to 15th is Teen Pact. I am sort of looking forward to it, but I have to write a bill, so not that part.
Then later that month, we are going to Tennessee for a Teen Pact thing.
Around all this is school, church, Bible studies and more. I am going to be SO tired by the end of this!!

Bad parts

Ok, there were some bad things on our cruise that I will mention.
1 The first day, I got a sunburn all over me. My back, arms, legs and face. That was painful. I had it for the first week. But Steve said that a lot of people got one also. It was supposed to rain that day, so they did not apply more sun tan lotion.

2 One of the beaches we attended was clothing optional. That was a large shock, as I was just sitting doing my own thing. Not fun at all. Made me happy I lived in America where it does not happen.

3 The second week, we had a new captain. He was younger and less experienced. So, the ship was much rockier. Part of that had to do with the waves, but partly about him. I was sick for 2 days. I also puked 2 times. It did not help that the TV channels played the same movies 5 times a day. By the end of the trip, I had seen Knights tale on 17 times. For real.

Well, I think that is it.
Oh, no. I did not get to sit at Peters(the young dutch guy) table. He had certain tables that he would come and talk to the people at them. He was always at the table we had been in the night before.

My cruise!!!

Ok, it was amazing!!!
Here is a list of where we went.

Half moon cay
Auba
Curacao
Grand turk
St. Maarten
Puerto Rico

I think that is it. I have now been in 8 countries! I went through Haiti and Cuba, but those don't count.
We did a lot of Snorkling, which was amazing! In Grand Turk, we went out on a boat to some great spots. Including a drop of 7,000 feet. We were not allowed out there.

In Puerto Rico, we walked the streets most of the day. And, ate the most amazing food ever!!! We also visited a fort called El Morro. That was really neat.

In Aruba, we took a private tour, of the Caves and Gold mines. SO cool!!
In Half moon cay, we swam all day. It is Private owned by Holland America cruise line. That is out ship.

In Curacao, we swam, again. Not that I minded. :)

On Board was the funnest part! There were shows at night, that were so good. There was an Elton John inpersonator, is that how to spell it?His name was Joel Mason. He was so funny, and very talented. There were broadway style shows, which were also very good. And there was an Illusionist/comedian guy. He was hilarious!!!!
In Joels show, I caught our cruise directors shirt when he ripped it off. It sounds strange, but it was really fun. We had him sign it.
In the Lido Restaurant, we could eat all day. Endless Ice Cream!!! The Dining room was the fancy alternative. We ate there every night. There was this young handsome dutch guy who was in charge of the Dining room. He was the best part. HAHA.
There was a teen program on the ship, that we were a part of. That is where we met Steve and Sean. Steve was the leader, he was awsome. We gave Sean a tour the first day of the second week, since he had not been there before. We spent the day with him, and became good friends.
Well, I'll be posting more about the trip, along with pics soon.
